Finding a church home is an important decision for you and your family. We are honored that you would invest your time to learn more about Forward Church!

If you've been attending Forward for a little while, you've probably noticed that we're passionate about helping people know God as He truly is. At the center of everything we do is Jesus. We believe every belief about God, ourselves, and life should be shaped by the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.

Jesus is the perfect revelation of the Father. He showed us what God is like, how God feels about us, and what He accomplished on our behalf. Because of His finished work, we are not striving to earn God's love, acceptance, or approval. In Christ, we have been forgiven, reconciled, made new, and welcomed into God's family.

That's why you'll often hear us talk about identity.

We believe lasting transformation happens when people discover who they are in Christ. The Christian life is not about trying harder to become someone you're not. It's about learning to live from the new life God has already given you. As we renew our minds to the truth of the gospel, we grow in freedom, peace, purpose, and spiritual maturity.

At Forward, we want to support you and your family as you follow Jesus.

We are not interested in filling your life with religious busywork, unnecessary programs, or pressure to perform. We don't want you burned out, exhausted, or trapped in a cycle of trying to prove your worth. Instead, we want to create a healthy environment where you can experience God's love, build meaningful relationships, grow in your faith, and enjoy the journey.

At the same time, we believe every believer has a purpose.

God has uniquely gifted you and entrusted you with assignments that matter. The kingdom of God increases through ordinary people who know who they are in Christ and faithfully walk out the opportunities God places before them. Our desire is to equip you, encourage you, and help you discover how your life can make an eternal impact.

Simply put, we believe salvation is Jesus + Nothing.

Yet because of what Jesus has done, we can live lives that are full, fruitful, and meaningful. We can love well, lead well, serve well, strengthen our families, impact our communities, and participate in God's great mission of reconciliation.

That's what Discover Forward is all about.

This course will help you learn who we are, what we believe, where we're going, and how you can become part of the story God is writing through this church family. Whether you've followed Jesus for decades or you're just beginning your journey, our hope is that Discover Forward will help you take your next step with confidence.
